A Child's Tea Party

A tea party is a time to get fancy!  It doesn't really matter if everything matches as long as you stick to a color palette of pastels, primary colors or hot colors.  Tables could include linens, napkins, fancy napkin rings, floral plates and, of course, tea cups!  Centerpieces could be tea pots filled with flowers or beautiful topiaries!  You could also decorate with beautiful paper banners, paper pom poms, ribbons and candles.  The guest could wear fancy hats, gloves, pearl necklaces, feather boas and fancy dresses - you could offer a dress up box for the guest when they arrive to go through and change into!  Minature foods like cucumber sandwiches, quiches, biscuits, cookies, muffins, breads, fruits and veggies with dip, and a whimsical cake always make it more special!  Teaching the kids table manners during their meal may be fun too.  You may also want to watch Alice in Wonderland or read Fancy Nancy's Tea Party book.  Anything could be accomplished...only your imagination (and wallet :) can stop you!  Enjoy these photos to inspire you to throw an amazing Tea Party!

Hope you can create a beautiful tea party too!
